Day 11: Thursday February 13 – tandem biking around Marlborough, New Zealand’s largest wine region with 109 wineries. Marlborough is best known for its Sauvignon Blancs – not what we would have called our favorite variety, but we were won over by the end of our bike tour.

First stop was a hit, took a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc for the trip

By the end of the day we had the tandem bike thing down!

Fun Fact: New Zealand was the crusader of the screwcap wine bottle initiative (2001) goodbye cork screws!
